Staying at The Bothy

  • Crieff is 8 miles away and has a various shops and cafes including an Aldi

    Gloagburn is our local farm shop and cafe 6.5 miles away. 

    Perth has a large out of town Tesco supermarket 10 miles away. 

    Methven has a post office and small newsagents 3.4 miles away

  • Yes we have fire starter sacks available to purchase at the farm. 

  • We welcome babies and children under 2, we can set up a high chair and travel cot on request. 

    We are a working farm with lots of animals around so we not currently allow guests to bring dogs.

  • The Bothy is a converted steading and so has some wooden stairs to the old hayloft which is now the bedroom, it is not suitable for wheelchair users.

  • No there is no TV in the Bothy, there is internet available. But, why not switch off and enjoy the views and have some ‘screen free’ time?

Retreats, Events & Dome Hire

  • Provided in the dome is a set of 20 yoga mats, British sheepskins, handmade bolsters & snuggly huge blankets. Along with fairy lights, 4 lamps and a portable speaker. There are also glasses & water jugs.

  • Due to the nature of long term planning on retreats and workshops we ask for a 50% deposit when you confirm a booking and the final 50% is due 3 weeks before the event.

  • The standard hire price includes exclusive use of The Wild Hive Dome and/or The Bothy. The use of the kit in the dome and a basket of logs for the wood burning stove. Also fresh water from the mountainside and wifi access. 

  • There is ample parking on the farm and a toilet and shower are available at the steading approximately 75m away from The Wild Hive.

  • Yes Wifi is available and free of charge

  • Yes, we can provide homemade seasonal lunches and snacks for your day, we will aim to use produce from the farm and sourced as locally as possible, please enquire for prices. 

  • Yes, The Bothy has one superking ensuite bedroom upstairs that is ideal for retreat hosts to stay in and relax before and after your busy day.  

  • All events tickets are payable upon booking. Please see our T&Cs for more details.

  • Each event is different so please refer to your booking information but its always a good idea to bring a water bottle, some warm snuggly clothes and sensible shoes/boots if you are heading outside or for a nature walk. 

  • There are a number of ways you can see the animals, all our geese, ducks and hens are free range and will be pottering around the farm, if you would like to feed them please ask us.

    We have 3 very friendly dogs that always love a cuddle.

    Sheep and lambs are around the farm buildings only at certain times of year.
